Terms of Service

By using knowlocal.io ("the Service"), operated by Infonaut Ltd under the KnowLocal by GroLocal brand, you agree to these terms.

The Service

KnowLocal provides a free, automated audit of a Google Business Profile based on publicly available data, for informational purposes only. KnowLocal Plus is an optional paid programme described below.

KnowLocal Plus — payment, delivery & refunds

KnowLocal Plus is a digital service for businesses: a 12-month programme of weekly guidance emails, monthly re-scans and competitor tracking for one business location, bought with a single one-time payment (no subscription; nothing renews automatically).

• Immediate start. Your programme begins as soon as your payment is confirmed: your membership is provisioned at once and your scans and weekly schedule are committed for the 12-month term. By purchasing, you expressly request that we begin supplying the service immediately.
• 14-day money-back guarantee. We offer a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee: if KnowLocal Plus isn’t for you, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund (one per customer; the guarantee may be withdrawn from accounts that abuse it). This sits on top of any statutory rights you have. After 14 days, because the service starts immediately and the underlying data, infrastructure and scheduling costs are incurred up front and cannot be recovered, payments are non-refundable for the remainder of the term. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.
• What you receive. One prioritised task per week by email, a re-scan of your profile and nearby competitors approximately every fourth week, and access to your reports at their private links, for 12 months from purchase. The weekly tasks follow a finite, prioritised programme of high-impact moves (typically 20–30 weeks); once those are complete, weekly emails continue as a lighter maintenance cadence (a steady review/posting rhythm) alongside the monthly re-scans, for the remainder of your term. We keep delivery records (scans run, tasks sent, report views).
• Fair use. One membership covers one business location. We may suspend a membership used to scan businesses you do not own or are not authorised to assess, or that abuses the Service; no refund is due on suspension for abuse.
• If something goes wrong. If we fail to deliver the programme (e.g. weeks of missed tasks caused by us), contact privacy@knowlocal.io — we will extend your term or put it right. We'd rather fix it than argue.
• Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge — delivery is logged and disputes for delivered service will be contested with those records. The charge appears on your statement under our payment provider's descriptor.

No guarantees

Scores, benchmarks, revenue figures and recommendations are estimates based on available data and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We make no guarantee of ranking, revenue, or business outcomes. You are responsible for any actions you take.

Acceptable use

• Use the Service only for businesses you own or are authorised to assess.
• Do not abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
• We rate-limit and cap usage, and may restrict access, to protect the Service.

Free-tier fair use

Each free audit runs paid third-party data and AI on our account, so the free tier is subject to fair-use limits that protect a small, self-funded business:

• Free audits are limited to 5 per business per rolling 12 months (across the website, email and Telegram bot, however the audit is requested). That is more than one audit a quarter — enough to measure and improve. Beyond that we politely decline further free audits for that business until the window rolls forward.
• The AI assistant (email and Telegram) is limited to roughly 20 questions per person per day, for all users including paying members, to keep automated costs sustainable.
• Automated, bulk or agency-style use of the free tier — for example scanning many businesses on behalf of clients — is not permitted; KnowLocal Plus is the right fit for ongoing, multi-business or professional use.

These limits may change as our costs change. They never affect your statutory rights or the KnowLocal Plus service you have paid for.

Data processing

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy, including the processors we rely on.

Intellectual property

The Service, reports and benchmarks are owned by Infonaut Ltd. Your own business data remains yours.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Infonaut Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is".
